It's experiential - and experiences are always subjective. It's purely axiomatic, with zero epistemic justifications, thus pseudo-intellectualism.

@MikeN4028V @darwintojesus I did read one of his books: The End of Faith. Utter new atheist garbage - full of assumptions and errors. This hasn't aged well. Watched countless interviews and debates with Sam. Sorry you hold this guy in high esteem.

Thus, murder, rape, torture, pedophilia, or psychological abuse are all acceptable - morality is reduced to mere personal preferences.

The Bible is a text that is interpreted through the lens of the Church that put it together - not by random individuals who aren't in it (Protestants, Roman Catholics, atheists).

From an Orthodox perspective, they left the Church over a thousand years ago, so they're not Christians in a strict sense. Wrong theology, wrong ecclesiology, focus on worldly power, and, overall, departure from Christ lead to that.
