I posted on-chain analysis for each of these tokens on my Twitter — showing exactly how they got rugged. Now it's time to sum it all up.

All wallets that were dumping tokens on-chain followed the same pattern: they bridged liquidity from CEXs and sold on DEXs, or simply sold directly on DEXs while CEX sell pressure supported the dump. Most of these wallets exhibited the same behavioral pattern as Wintermute, and there were also overlaps with Wintermute’s public trading bots on some of the tokens.

Given what happened on April 1st, when Wintermute dumped more than 10 tokens, the same scenario is now repeating — just with different tokens.

Half of these tokens are dead projects — zero-yield, barely any on-chain activity, with just a few poor souls left holding the bags. Some even have upcoming large unlocks, like $OBOL on the 7th. That’s why I wouldn't touch these bottomed-out coins and don’t recommend you do either — none of the previously rugged tokens ever recovered, not just those dumped by Wintermute, but in general.
