Kraken’s Flaw Caused Me a $280,000 Loss and They Refuse to Address It

On Feb. 1, 2025, the Kraken trading platform forcibly liquidated my positions at an extremely unreasonable price, despite my account having sufficient balance and no risk control triggers being activated. This resulted in a loss of $280,000 across my two accounts within just one hour!

During this incident, Kraken’s liquidation price deviated significantly from the market price, directly causing massive losses to my account.

Here’s a simple example:

I opened a long position at $0.10, but a few minutes later, the platform forcibly closed my order at $0.05—a price that was severely detached from the market at that time!

It’s been two months since this happened, and despite submitting tickets and contacting both customer service and my account manager, Kraken has consistently refused to address my issue or provide a solution.
