Typical farming behaviour.
He promised a newsletter yesterday . Probably too busy siphoning money out of his launchpad to care.
Now its more 'updates soon'
Got kicked out of the community and iv been sleeping like a baby.
@otc_labs $OTC
Bullish project , bearish dev
@navin346@otc_labs I was booted from all the groups because your community is owned by North Koreans.
If I hadn't been booted, I wouldn't be here on the timeline.
Blame the OTC admins not me. I am open to talk in the group chat again if you let me back in
@poe_real69 You know, it used to make me really mad how nobody works for their bags anymore.
But honestly, when they know they are just gonna be working the bag so the quiet people can sell while they hold just to be the one getting called a farmer I can't blame people for not wanting to.
Now that the dust has settled, and people have got their anger out on me, and the dev of @otc_labs has blocked me. Here is my official write-up of the situation:
$OTC was a project I have been bull-posting for since it's inception as I am a huge advocate of giving back to the user in as many ways as possible without extracting. I am a huge proponent of giving back to the small fish, especially with @Pumpfun extraction tactics.
However, over the last few weeks I have seen a few red flags I could not ignore with $OTC.
The dev is solo, undoxxed and he refuses to hire a team. This has 2 issues, 1. The dev goes to sleep, dies or goes rogue the project is finished. 2. The dev does not communicate well. This combination creates uncertainty. The website sometimes went down for over 12 hours at a time and communication was absent for over 24 hours. Dev has improved slightly on communication but still lacks direct communication with the community.
Dev blocks anyone with criticisms and talks to people arrogantly and from a place of power. He claims to listen to community but then applies negative changes when no on asked him to.
On September 14th, the Dev announced the new $OTC token creator fee split. This was 50% buy-back and burns and 50% to desks - awesome (I thought) . Then recently I was looking at the new documents and the dev has now changed it to 50% going to himself (protocol) and 50% to desks. $OTC creator fees no longer go towards buy backs and burns. No one was aware of this change and there was no announcement.
Then, he changed another aspect of the fee structure - launchpad token fees produced on the platform. Previously, people were receiving dividends for holding $OTC paid in $SOL. Dev (without asking the community) got rid of dividends completely, and increased his own share of revenue to himself from 7.5% to 12.5%.
Why does he need to increase that when he already is getting 50% of creator fees from the $OTC token itself? Dev claims it was to only increase buy backs and desk rewards. This is partly true, but he left out the increase of revenue to himself whilst removing all dividends for holders. (please refer to the 2 images provided below).
I had many people in my dms wondering where the dividends went, there was no announcement officially and ever since, the buying pressure of $OTC has reduced significantly since there is now much less incentive to hold the token over the desk NFTS.
I have been receiving overwhelming amounts of abuse. I don't want to come here and complain but I will call a spade a spade. I have been in this space too long and I have seen the temptation of greed ruin too many projects so I stop these people in their tracks before they ruin and extract from a project and bleed it dry.
The reason for my crashout was the dev openly selling over 1% of $DOPE on his public fomo account and claimed 'it hardly moved the chart'. Not the point, the point is this was your best runner and you decided to clip $45,000 in one go ontop of your loyal holders. This was the final straw for me after putting in hours upon hours of grind to build up the DOPE community.
Dev refuses to address my questions so I am here to ask them and gain clarification publically. This is the only way to get asnwers because the dev does not reply to DMs. Because right now I am confused on why the dev is trying to handicap his own successful project.
If these questions get addressed I will return to $OTC but right now there are too many red flags to ignore and I want answers. Many other people are agreeing with me, many are angry at because it is kicking up dust.
Quite frankly, I have the right to say whatever I want. This is not baseless fud, you can verify my claims on the OTC website and the tweets from the dev in the past.
Thanks for reading , I know this was a long one. I want to make no enemies I just want this project to succeed and not get extracted to zero.
@nabeel20042@solamilovecha1n depends if the dev doesn't pull the plug by the time it earns you your rev back. If OTC succeeds then yes it is worth it long term
So $OTC dev has recently changed the documents to take 50% of the $OTC token creator rewards instead of going into buybacks and burns.
He also got rid of dividends with no announcement and increased his own share of the revenue from launched tokens.
The dev is openly destroying and extracting his own project.
