@TidyWire Depends where you look. Indies and smaller studios are still "allowed" to experiment and iterate on design beyond just production values.

While they might have just wanted to not alienate people here I think everyone agrees it was too easy.

It do be rough out there though.

@Soycrates You have Kratos as the "straight man" to the comedic tone of the other stuff in 2018 and Ragnarok. We're already seeing a lot of the "Talk to myself for the player" tropes in the trailer, and Atreus scenes were heavy on that in Ragnarok. I'm cautiously optimistic though.

@orbalology Visions of Mana is fantastic it just didn't "revolutionize" anything and people hate comfort in games for some reason. Everything has to be "innovative" or "groundbreaking" instead of just "Good and well made"
