@calisabooks I don’t mind people using real world events in stories, historical fiction is great when it’s done correctly. To each their own but i don’t like black people and slavery to be the backdrop in a romance created by a non black person. Jaxx could’ve came up with something else
@prettysakii Oh we hate our president. I hate anybody that disrespects my people. Nobody said racism applies to only us but imma be real, black people are hated in almost in space and disrespected. We have the right to shit on this bs that uses us for the background to their story
@LyanPasta I hope Korean authors stop using black people in their stories as some background tool or prop. Black people deserve respect and better than this bs, we are over it
@pjaymeow 40 isn’t old, maybe white people usually start to look old by 40 but poc stay looking pretty young, i get what you mean, i think he looks mid-30s quite a bit
@Kisaki_Lau Black people and native people are tired of others using us in their romance stories. They don’t have to belong to the country but to make a story like this and you’re not black or native is really telling. We are exhausted, leave us out of shit like this
@sjoanok Black and native people are tired of white savior tropes, quit putting us in stories like these. We have a right to be upset about it. Thank ya
@ladybirdiie Non black and non native people should stop writing white savior romances that include black and native people. Simple as that. We don’t want to see it, we want to stop being included in slavery stories, especially if they’re romances. We are tired, Juneteenth just ended
@LyanPasta@Lopez0616YD Non black people romanticizing and making romances of slavery is disgusting, Juneteenth just ended and we’re already back to the bs. Black and native people get the short end of the stick always. Nobody’s surprised, just expected a little more.
@ukekitties Slavery is serious. Non black people should not be producing romances that take place during or shortly after slavery or civil war. Plus, the “slave” isn’t even black. Author made them Native American so she wouldn’t have to include somebody black. It’s disgusting, it’s not woke
@PyroCryptRaptor@angry_nucmus@Fizzzzziii@jaxx_s2 May I ask, do you happen to be a ✋🏻person? Romanticizing slavery is not the way to go. Non black or native people should not be writing romance stories that take place during or shortly after slavery and the civil war.
@7_no0no0 He’s beautiful. And I hate when others say he’s too white as if those with albinism don’t exist. Not saying he has albinism, but people with a real white tone are sexy too 😞
