DigixDao & their DGD (governance) & DGX (gold backed) tokens could be the birth of a new stablecoin system. DGX sales start april 8th & each token will be backed by physical & auditable gold. There are definitely possible issues with the system but this could be something amazing
Binance will be opening up an office in Malta with a fiat to crypto gateway. Malta is apparently very progressive when it comes to crypto/fintech and could become a center of emerging blockchain business.
Coinbase has announced that they will be adding support for ethereum erc20 tokens. No indication on a time for which token(s) they will add first but it seems likely that an erc20 token will be added in some capacity in the fairly near future.
Verge is asking their community to 'crowdfund' 75 million verge so that they can finance a partnership with an undisclosed big name. They are claiming that unless the crowdfund goal is reached the partnership wont happen. Sadly some people will fall for scams like this...
IBM has unveiled the world's smallest computer. It costs around $0.10 and plans are to use it in products for better supply chain tracking. Products like this will enable cryptocurrencies that utilize them to make the world run smoother, cheaper, and faster.

The Abra platform looks pretty great. They are using bitcoin/litecoin smart contracts to allow trading in over 20 cryptocurrencies, no fee trading and free fiat bank deposits.
Trump issued an executive order banning US citizens from buying the Petro, the Venezuelan regimes attempt at crypto. So many things wrong with the Petro scam that overall I think this is good. The president of the USA has acknowledged crypto & is saying dont invest in shitcoins!

Positive news from the G20 on crypto. The Financial Stability Board resisted calls to further regulate cryptocurrencies and stated that they do not pose risks to global financial stability
Coinbase came out with some clarifications about how new coins will eventually be added to their platform. Apparently still nothing very close to being added but it's interesting that they say gdax may eventually have assets listed on it that are not on the coinbase platform
