How has Bitcoin Cash managed to get SO MUCH DONE in the past few years? A large contributor to its success is BCH's "CHIP Process".

The CashScript Flipstarter for 2026-27 is live!
Last year we shipped loops and functions for the 2026 upgrade. Next up:
🧱 Structs
⚙️ Typesafe inline assembly

Also there is 8 BCH in XO bounties at @bchblaze!
🔵 Build with XO: Create an XO template. 10 × 0.3 BCH.
🟢 Migrate to XO: Bring an existing project to XO. 5 × 1 BCH.
We're excited to see what you build and hear your early feedback on XO!

SolidCash is out: write Solidity, run it on Bitcoin Cash.
Near-complete Solidity parity. Stateful contracts. A real EVM project, @eaccmarket, running on BCH*. One year of active development, and more than a year of tinkering before that.
None of this was possible before the BCH 2026 upgrade. The upgrade gave the VM the room. SolidCash is what you can do with it.
What SolidCash is:
- solidc, the compiler: .scash source to runtime artifacts
- solidcash, the TypeScript SDK: contracts, transactions, network providers, debugging
- solidhat, the Hardhat analog: whole-project compilation, in-process test network, deployments, generated bindings
- Ethers 5 and 6 shims, so existing EVM tooling habits carry over
What that opens up: a full stablecoin USDT contract on BCH, unwrapping to native CashTokens. ERC-20 contracts that wrap existing CashTokens. EVM bridges. The EVM-like DEXes, lending and DeFi that BCH has been missing. Embrace them.
If you can write Solidity, you can write SolidCash.
Try it: npm create @solidcash/solidhat@latest my-contracts
Or point your AI at it. Solidity parity means your coding agent already knows most of the language. Hand it the agent reference at https://t.co/k1efcGuirX together with your Solidity contract, and let it do the port or cross-compilation.
Disclaimer: this is still a beta. Do not bet too much value on it. Security might need further hardening, and there will be undiscovered gaps. Found a gap? Open an issue and send the contract that broke. Let us close them together and make it better.
Thanks to molecular (@cotta3) and @toorik for the initial support.

* Under relaxed consensus rules: those contracts are larger than today's mainnet limits allow.
@realBitcoinClub@robin_linus I'm sure @CauldronSwap uses them. Probably @BCHBull (probably using 2018's checkdatasig). Certainly @ParyonUSD@MoriaMoney.
My understanding is that Covenants are a building block for complex smart UTXO functionality, so you're going to find them pretty much anywhere interesting
@quinn0x4 Recent upgrades have made BCH as programmable as Ethereum while retaining its MASSIVE scaling advantage.
Zero knowledge privacy, post quantum cryptography, and UTXO DeFi are a few narratives that BCH could ride in the near future.

Can you guess which bullet point in Benefits I think is the most understated?
See the various CHIPs for more details, I skipped a lot!

@TheDesertLynx Except that the Monero community could just be taking the longer-but-more-sustainable path vs ZCash's on-chain voting mechanism and a centralized foundation.
So to say they were "more efficient in allocating capital" is a little icky to me. They might be digging their own grave.
@PacArtCollect@00TATTS hahahaha "We're the original protocol" --> "Any change to the protocol is fine because any needed rules and incentives can be enforced with proof of work!"
