Calling all freedom tech builders! We are seeking volunteers for a live design review at the @OsloFF Making Freedom Tech Beautiful workshop.
Face it. Freedom tech only matters if people can actually use it. Even the most powerful applications fall short if they feel confusing or too technical.
Watch @MouxDesign of @bitcoin_design and our very own @satsie use AI to apply tried and true UX principles and draw inspiration from award winning design. Participants will leave with a Claude skill that preserves the exact process from the workshop.
Make your app as empowering as the decentralized, censorship resistant technology it is built on.
Make it something individuals all over the world can understand, adopt, and rely on.
Builders need not be physically present for the workshop. Priority given to projects funded by @HRF. Does this sound like something you're interested in? Reply to this post or send us a DM!
Last week as part of @hack4_freedom, @TuedonTuoyo gave a presentation on how to decode raw transaction hex 🔍
Learning how each byte corresponds to a specific type of data is a great way to level up your understanding of the #bitcoin protocol.
He's now given this talk twice, previously at BitDevs Abjua. Where would you like to see this presentation next? Let us know!
🔥 Day 5 of #Hack4Freedom Lagos went deep into the guts of Bitcoin.
@TuedonTuoyo from @Bitcoin_Devs broke down:
🔹 Decoding raw Bitcoin transaction hex
🔹 Understanding every field that makes up a Bitcoin transaction
🔹 Real examples – live, line by line
This is the kind of hands-on knowledge that separates builders from spectators.
@hack4_freedom@TuedonTuoyo Thank you for giving @TuedonTuoyo and @satsie the opportunity to present! They had so much fun diving into the technicals with the hackathon participants.
We look forward to seeing how the projects turn out!
We're proud to highlight two incredible self-directed projects from our Dada Devs Peer Leads and Developers in the 2026 BOSS Challenge!
@Su_Githaiga built a Lightning fee-bumping service that tackles one of the most frustrating pain points in the Lightning Network — stuck commitment transactions. Her tool leverages anchor outputs and CPFP (Child-Pays-For-Parent) to get those transactions confirmed, bringing real utility to everyday Lightning users.

@Its_nkathake created Know Your Coin History, a transaction graph explorer that lets you trace the full ancestry of your Bitcoin coins. From recursive UTXO tracing and wallet fingerprinting heuristics to BIP-329 label exports — all running against your own local Bitcoin Core node or Electrum server — it's a powerful tool for privacy-conscious Bitcoiners.

Two projects. Two builders. Both solving real problems in the Bitcoin ecosystem. 💡
Give them a follow and check out their work!

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day! 🍕
On this day in 2010 Laszlo Hanyecz traded 10,000 bitcoins for 2 pizzas!
It may seem wild to think about now but had it not been for people like him that were willing to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange we may not be able to transact with bitcoin the way we can today.
What’s the first thing you ever bought with bitcoin?
If you’ve never spent your bitcoin, get a pizza today! It’s is a nice way to honor Laszlo and makes for an unforgettable first transaction 🙂🍕
Contributions to ddust by harismuzaffer and @sidharth_2k04
Contributions to ddust, an experimental tool created by bubb1es71 that implements the BIP-451 Dust UTXO Disposal Protocol. Finds and safely disposes of “dust attack” UTXOs in on-chain, descriptor-based wallets.
