I never really followed any of his work aside from clips on the timeline and the occasion video, but always found him powerful and my goodness smart. When I saw that terrible video minutes after it happened... I was truly changed and didn't know exactly why. Many people I have spoken with irl and online feel the same way. learning more and more about him I can honestly say he was one of the best the world has to offer.
I have come back to my faith in recent years since surviving a (very) near death experience, having children, receiving life-changing blessings and in general just growing older. I got back into the church maybe 2 years ago now and have attended regularly and love my faith. But since Charlie was killed... I can truly not describe the strengthening that has occurred in my resolve to give myself to God. I pray that I can do a fraction of the good he put into this world.
