Why the fuck is Muizzu’s son Umair playing in this match? Is he some world class Maldivian football prodigy now? There are hundreds of young players out there grinding every single day, sweating, bleeding, fighting for a spot, for exposure and this kid just walks onto the pitch cause his daddy sits in the presidential palace?

Where’s the selection process? Who chose him? Did he earn it? Or was this another one of those “my father’s the President” special privileges? You can’t tell me there weren’t better, hungrier, more deserving players. But no, suddenly, Umair gets exposure. Why? Cause being Muizzu’s son is apparently the new qualification for national representation.

This isn’t football anymore. This is political theatre. It’s not about merit, it’s about image. It’s about showing off power, flexing influence and pretending it’s for the youth.

What’s next? Will the cabinet ministers’ kids start taking over the national team too? Is this what Maldives has come to? A playground for the elite while real talent rots on the bench?

There’s no other reason Umair’s in that lineup except for one. He’s Muizzu’s son. That’s it. No skill, no grind, no qualification. Just bloodline privilege masquerading as opportunity.
