@Maurice43565305 Both translate into "To be". In the quoted example: "Estar" is used to inquire on or to describe a subjective reality . On the other hand "Ser" almost ways is used to inquire on or to describe an objective reality. He can be [subjectivley] a priest and not be [objectively] one.
