If you knew the back story(ies), you would cry too.
Raúl Jiménez has played at four World Cups. Across Brazil, Russia and Qatar, he never scored a single goal. Today, on home soil at the Estadio Azteca, that finally changed. And the moment broke him.
The tears obviously carried years. In March 2026, just three months ago, Jiménez lost his father Raúl Jiménez Vega to pancreatic cancer at the age of 62. He was a pivotal figure in his son's career. That goal was for him.
And there was more beneath it. In 2020, playing for Wolves against Arsenal, Jiménez fractured his skull in a collision with David Luiz. He lay unconscious on the pitch while teammates and family feared the worst.
It took emergency surgery and eight months to return. He still wears the protective headband today. Many of us thought it was over back then. 6 years later, at 35, Jimenez’s story is still being written.
Just think about it. A near-fatal injury, a grieving son and a 12-year wait for one World Cup goal, finally answered in front of his own people.
This is why we watch football. Not for the trophies. For the human underneath. Don’t you just love it.

Almost all critics who are criticising the money spent for the UK tour of judiciary, are forgetting a much larger and serious issue.
When the top judiciary travel with the very politicians against whose excesses they are expected to protect the citizens, how can one hope for an unbiased handling of cases between private individuals vs Govt?
Everyone at the club would like to thank Casemiro, Tyrell and Jadon for their contributions to United and wish them the very best of luck for the future 🤝

In 2024, MLA Oni Panyang, while campaigning during the election, told the people, “If I support the Siang dam after winning the election, you can destroy my house.” Yesterday, people in Geku damaged his house alleging him of supporting Siang dam.

All regional political parties in NE states who allied with BJP have ceased to exist. The existing ones are only proxies of BJP in regional colours.
#NorthEast#Politics
Now few BJP puppets of TADC, TAYPA, ATASU etc.. in Facebook and press conference make this a controversy and start licking the boots of their North Indian Sanatani masters but I as a common Ahom citizen stand by him, he said what so called Ahom leaders should have.
Don't hate the Biharis now, nor the government, non of them are to be blamed, look at the mirror,it's you who are to be blamed,YOU VOTED FOR THIS, suck it up coz that's what you deserve for next 5 years. You have no right to complain now,coz when you had the chance you did this👇
Why bring the CAA protests into it?
Why the focus was placed there rather than on the diplomatic, economic, or strategic context of the visit. Shouldn't the discussion focus on what Assam stands to gain from the visit? That's the part readers would be interested in.
Political space is being handed to outsiders who are barely known in the state, while indigenous communities continue to wait on the margins for fair representation. Whose interests are really being protected?
In Assam the population of Brahmins is around 4% but they have 23.5% ministers in Asssm's ministry.
In electoral democracy of India to grab power one ( community/party) need a strong hold on state machineries , media and institurions not numbers. #Assam
Once you visit places like Kerala, Sikkim, Bengaluru, Hyderabad or even parts of Tamil Nadu and then return to Assam, you realise how badly people here have been failed by decades of political promises, weak urban planning & cosmetic development.
There is land scarcity in bihar and immense pressure on all of their resources, no wonder y these viruses are encroaching other states.
I was shocked to see so many biharis in Mayong, Assam
