🎢 Rolling Options: What it is & when to use it

“Got an option trade that’s not playing out (yet)? Don’t close it. Roll it. 👇”

Rolling means closing your current option and opening a new one with
• a later expiry,
• a different strike,
• or both.

You’re not changing the idea. You’re buying time or adjusting risk.

Why traders roll options
• Extend the duration when the thesis is still valid
• Reduce theta pressure near expiry
• Adjust strikes as price moves
• Stay positioned without forcing a loss

Example
BTC is at $59k.
You hold a $60k call expiring this week.
Momentum is slow, but structure still looks bullish.

Instead of letting it expire:
→ Close the current call
→ Roll into a $60k (or $61k) call next week

Same bias. More time.

When NOT to roll
• Thesis is invalidated
• Volatility collapses against you
• You’re rolling just to avoid taking a loss

Rolling is a tool, not a rescue strategy.

Manage time. Manage risk. Trade smarter.

Market logic:
