Isabel buried everything *she* wanted, loved, and was so that she could be what her Abuela told her that her family and town needed. She was never given a chance to figure herself out. The others all at least got their own voice and some understanding of themselves.

Growing up I always told crazy fantastical stories when my friends were going through a rough time. My BFF was having a really rough time, a normal story wasn't cutting it. So a book was born and I got hooked.

Now I write to make strangers happy.
