Meet George Obolo, medical student and co-founder of The Black Excellence Network @BlackExcelNet. We spoke to him about Manchester, mentoring and his mission to open up higher education for more Black students.
Last year, our scheme had over 100 mentors from universities such as Oxbridge, Imperial, Manchester, Warwick, York and more! Mentors also came from a range of subject areas including Medicine, Law, PPE and Economics… just to name a few!
George: Creating services is only half the job, communicating it and publicising it, especially to Gen Z students is where the real work starts #amosshe2022
