BTW, in Slavic mythology, this "Mighty Angel" is known as Triglav (Three Headed One, Three Faced One)....Also known as Dabog (Good God, Giving God), who was also the Sun God...
Now, remember St Elijah, the dude whom St Patrick invoked when fighting the devil, after which the sun rose to save him? St Elijah who is in the Balkans celebrated in Jul/Aug (the same time Sun god Crom Dubh, whom St Patrick "defeated" was celebrated in Ireland), the hottest time of the year, and who for some unknown reason 🙂 (Elijah/Helios) gets so angry around his day that he wants to burn the whole world to cinder?
In Serbia he is actually known as St Elijah the Thunderer, and is the main Christian "replacement" for both the Sun God Svetovid and the Thunder God Perun.
People say that St Elijah the Thunderer, drives on top of the clouds in his chariots, causing thunder and lightning when the chariot wheels bump off the surface of the clouds...He also shoots lightning at sinners and devils...
I talked about him here:

You can find the (scientific) explanation how the same (very bad tempered) saint can be replacement for sun and thunder god in my previous post...
The superstition that witches favoured brooms as their mode of transport was popularised at the time of the Lancashire Witch Trials. Older sources tell of them travelling by pitchforks, pig troughs, plant stems.
