The vision of Black Scrum Masters London is to create a space for scrum masters, those looking for practical experience and anyone with a desire to learn more.
Really good Meetup last night for Black Scrum Masters London. We did an agile clinic triaging, treating and discharging prioritised issues that were brought to the group. Big thank you to Raffaele Colace from Rome, Italy for attending and sharing his experience while in London.
To me, it's a fundamental precept of Agile that predictability is impossible. The only way to minimize uncertainty is to deliver into your user's hands. The longer you delay releases, the more uncertainty you have, so delivery frequently.
In TDD, you create the test first, then build exactly enough to get the test to pass. Not 1 line more. 100% coverage is free, but more importantly, you get the simplest architecture/code that solves the problem. That's a huge win.
An enlightened and people-focused company will have a trivial time sliding into an Agile way of working. A hierarchical control-focused organization won't be able to get beyond hierarchical control-focused processes, whether or not you call it "Agile." 2/5
Big thank you to Wolf Schlegel for facilitating the Black Scrum Masters London session this month covering, 8 things Scrum Masters should know about product development. Really good discussion and learning. #Scrum#ScrumMaster#ScumMasterWay
One difference between Scrum & Kanban is that Kanban doesn't require that review and planning activites be locked into a single cadence. You could have a daily retrospective, weekly customer meetings, monthly deployment-efficacy reviews. Multiple simultaneous cadences.
