JENNIE  Leads Global 'Like Jennie' Craze… Sets Unprecedented Records

A global ‘like JENNIE’ craze is sweeping across the world.

Jennie is setting new records on domestic and international music charts with the title track "like JENNIE" from her first solo full-length album "Ruby," released on the 7th, establishing a new milestone in K-pop history.

Jennie continues to break "first" and "highest" records day after day. With "Ruby," she achieved the highest first-week sales (661,130 copies) among K-pop female solo artists this year and entered the UK Official Albums Chart at No. 3, setting the highest record for a K-pop female solo artist.

Jennie also entered Billboard's main singles chart, the 'HOT 100' (dated March 22), with three songs: "Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)" at No. 80, the title track "like JENNIE" at No. 83, and "ExtraL (feat. Doechii)" re-entering at No. 99, making her the first K-pop female solo artist to chart three songs simultaneously on the 'HOT 100'.

In total, five tracks from "Ruby" — "like JENNIE," "Mantra," "Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike)," "ExtraL (feat. Doechii)," and "Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)" — have entered the 'HOT 100', a remarkable achievement. Including her collaboration track "One Of The Girls" with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie now holds the record for the most songs (six total) charted on the 'HOT 100' by a K-pop female solo artist.

The "like JENNIE" challenge videos are also gaining massive attention. People of all ages and genders are joining the challenge, reinterpreting the choreography in their own unique ways.

Notably, many K-pop artists such as ZEROBASEONE's Sung Hanbin, ENHYPEN's Ni-ki, RIIZE's Shotaro, TWS's Kyungmin, CRAVITY's Hyeongjun and Taeyoung, IVE's Gaeul, Lee Chaeyeon, KISS OF LIFE's Julie, and HEARTS2HEART's Jooeun have participated, further fueling the craze.
