And to all those who say that I am not Zimbabwean because of the colour of my skin, may you find healing for the hate in your hearts. I don't hate you back.
And I challenge you to a dance off!!!๐บ๐ Name the time and place. @AlickMacheso please provide the music.๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ค๐ค๐๐
Most vehicles on Zimbabwean roads were built for E5 or E10 at most. Most engines were never engineered for 20% ethanol.
Ethanol carries roughly 34% less energy per litre than petrol, so a 20% blend delivers fewer kilometres per tank. You fill up more often, and each litre does less work. Meanwhile, Green Fuel's ethanol has historically been priced above import parity, insulated from any competitive pressure by preferential supply arrangements. Citizens therefore pay a premium per litre for a fuel that underperforms per litre.
Every Zimbabwean motorist becomes a captive revenue source for a single politically connected ethanol producer, with their vehicle absorbing the mechanical cost and their wallet absorbing the energy cost. The Zimbabwean government is outsourcing a corporate subsidy to the public, collected silently at the pump.
๐จ I just learned about a concept, I can't stop thinking about.
The Four Burner Theory.
It destroyed Elon Musk's first marriage.
It explains why Bezos is jacked but divorced.
And why Zuckerberg has no real friends.
Once you understand it, your life will never be same:๐งต
The @DailyNewsZim reports that, while alcohol consumption in Zambia is experiencing a slump, in South Africa, it has remained stable, in Zimbabwe, the leading beer brewing company is about to breach $1 Billion in beer revenues! Itโs either we have a serious alcohol issue or we are getting more disposable incomes. Which is which? ๐
Van Gogh died broke because nobody wanted his paintings. He sold maybe one during his entire life. The art world thought his style was too immature. His brother Theo, an art dealer, kept him alive by sending money constantly.
When Van Gogh passed in 1890, his brother, Theo died just six months later. That left Theo's wife Jo as a 28 year old widow with a baby and about 900 paintings nobody wanted, plus hundreds of letters.
Here's what actually mattered. Van Gogh had written hundred of letters letters to Theo and Jo explaining individual paintings and his life as an artist. He told them the stories behind each work, what he was trying to express, what each one meant to him.
After both brothers died, Jo remembered these letters and published them.
That's what made him famous. People could read Van Gogh's own words about each painting. The works stopped being random art and became stories he had experienced. The paintings got context directly from him explaining what he was doing. Jo gave the world Van Gogh's voice attached to his work.
By the time she died in 1925, he had gone from total unknown to art historical icon.
