In relation to is it a penalty to psg for handball ...it shouldn't be a penalty, BUT, as shown in so many games in the prem/cl, penalties are given for accidental handball all the time, so for consistency, it should be a pen
Arsenal and Chelsea were the teams who benefitted most from VAR errors this season according to data from the Premier Leagueโs key match incidents (KMI) panel.
@TomJGarry If @FAWNL proceed with this and get @FA backing, that will be the end of my support for women's football. I told them when they proposed it and I'll be sticking to my guns. Let's hope they stay sensible. It's time for a breakaway if this goes ahead.
@CazWest23 FAWNL should not be used as a training ground for PGAs because WSL teams prioritise buying ready made players over development & integration of home talent. Outside of the failings of the system, the overriding issue for me is integrity of the pyramid.
A 'clueless' metric for those that dont fully understand it, or how to exploit...how many hundreds of millions have Brentford made because they understand this metric along with many others, more than most? Depends what lenses you prefer to view the game through
Martin O'Neill absolutely slated the use of xG and similar stats in football earlier in the season on talkSPORT. He felt too many coaches over think the game.
He then went into Celtic insisting he would simplify everything. Celtic improved.
The club still decided to go in a different direction and hired Wilfried Nancy. It was a disaster, big changes in approach and tactics cost Celtic.
Back came O'Neill, once again insisting his approach would be to keep things very simple. He ended up winning a double.
โThis xG they speak of. Itโs total nonsense. Youโve got to remember what the game is about, winning football matches, and that means scoring goals, not recording the expectation of them.
โExpected goalsโ have only come about in the last few years. Itโs a clueless development. Some people just use these words to try to sound clever.โ

Parachuting PGA teams into the upper reaches of the Women's Football Pyramid would kill any notion of sporting integrity in the @FAWNL and the wider WFP.
For those teams to then directly affect the outcome of the season for others is inherently wrong on every level.
Tier 3 of the FAWNL is a reward, a prize, for dedication...cold/wet days and nights training, long journeys, limited or little finance, rubbish pitches..the list goes on!
What it's not..a solution for the few to resolve their inadequate structures and processes. #FAWNL
A disgraceful example of how not to govern.
An entire membership and football movement slighted and shunned through divisive and coercive process that would always reach a pre determined outcome one way or another. Yes = do it. No = do it anyway.
My water bills have doubled in the last couple of years, petrol costs have nearly doubled (just off the top of my head), so yeah, I'm really feeling the benefit
Football managers deserve treating better across the game, its great when your a prem manager who lands a few mill everytime, but lower down the pyramid more needs to be done - managers are easily disposed off with little to no care in the world
Just my opinion
The WHU goal being ruled out is probably the correct decision (just about), but I still think a penalty should then have been awarded to WH for any number of other tussles off the ball
Well done to @WolvesWomen and @MaccaD11 , over the last few years, there has been no one more deserving than to get promoted to WSL...years of persistence and consistency
