Here is my new paper for the Great British Business Council on the importance of oil, gas and coal to the UK economy.
The UK’s industrial decline is not inevitable, but the result of decades of deliberate policy choices that have undermined domestic energy production and driven manufacturing offshore. Lowering UK employment and tax revenues, while increasing the UK trade deficit.
The paper also includes a plan to reverse this.

Dear X
I need your help.
As you may know, I was doxed by Fred Wallace who posted my name, picture and partial home address here on X.
I made a complaint to the @metpoliceuk and today I was called back by one of their officers.
Name: Pc/Officer Humphreys.
Badge No. 2417.
Based at Lewisham Police Station. @MPSLewisham
Officer Humphreys asked what had given rise to the doxing and I told him that I hold the position that men cannot become women.
He immediately, without taking a breath said "well, that's transphobic".
Officer Humphries then proceeded to harangue me about my 'transphobia' and 'homophobia'.
I told him that I was not confident in the way he responded and that I would be reporting him to his superiors.
He said "well you won't get anywhere".
I then tried to explain to him that being 'transphobic' is not a crime and that gender critical beliefs are protected under the Forstater Ruling.
I also told him about the Supreme Court ruling that sex, in law, means biology and not identity.
At this point in the conversation, PC Humphreys put the phone down on me.
PC Humphreys seemed to have no understanding of his responsibility to act as an impartial public servant.
He also seemed unconcerned that I felt threatened and that I and my family could be put at risk by the doxing.
His only interest was in berating me for my beliefs.
I have made an in-person complaint at Lewisham Police Station and I will be making an appointment to discuss this incident with my MP @JanetDaby
We are being failed by a captured police force.
@SexMattersOrg@SpeechUnion
Please can you Rx this.
Thank you.
Dr P.
BBC News started a rolling live news feed, as if Sir Jim Ratcliffe's remarks were akin to a natural disaster or a war.
Rachel Reeves said his comments were ‘disgusting’ and ‘unacceptable’. Sir Keir even demanded that Sir Jim recant and apologise for his sinful utterance.
I’m sorry, what century is this? In what more moral universe is it acceptable for a PM to so publicly rebuke a British citizen simply for saying something he disapproves of?

@reduxx Two things - Most obviously - men should not be competing against women (especially in combat sports), second as someone who trains with women in BJJ there are clear rules known to all men - when training with women you do not put your hands on their chest or between their legs
It can feel hard to comprehend the seriousness of this. A British police force, in the 21st century, post-Macpherson, failed to disclose relevant information about a violent hateful threat against a group of people on the basis of their national heritage.
They chose instead to emphasise, incessantly, the supposed threat posed by the targets of this animus that was bubbling up in Birmingham: the Maccabi fans, the Israelis, the Jews.

@ReclaimTheNetHQ Absolutely Fuck Off should be our response - on a less visceral response we need to explain clearly and consistently why this is a really bad idea
If the British State wants an unarmed and defenceless citizenry, it must be visibly tireless in its persecution of those who would threaten them. That is not, to put it mildly, the British State we currently have, writes @HCH_Hill https://t.co/qLaLSQborh
