UGX 9.7 billion for upgrading a monument is abnormal. Yes, National landmarks deserve maintenance, but taxpayers also deserve transparency and value for money. Many Ugandans would understandably question whether this level of spending is the best use of public funds when there are pressing needs in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Accountability should always accompany public investment. GOOD MORNING GEN. @mkainerugaba we are humbly requesting UPDF engineering brigade to upgrade this monument so that we can save these billions of shillings. Thank you Gen🙏
