ETK has been awarded @TheKingsAwards for Enterprise in International Trade, the UK’s highest business honour.
One of only 185 organisations across the UK recognised in 2026.
And we didn’t receive this award for exporting alone. We received it for execution across Africa.
DHC @JonnyBaxterFCDO was delighted to host the launch of Momentum - a UK‑developed platform by ETK Group supporting businesses in Nigeria.
Linking support to measurable outcomes, it will boost finance access, export readiness & climate resilience.

Dangote Refinery is reshaping Nigeria’s energy landscape.
Operating at capacity, sourcing crude at international prices, and focusing on domestic supply, it has eased queues and stabilized availability—even if pump prices remain high.
Beyond fuel, the refinery drives jobs, housing, and new business opportunities in Lagos. But with global oil risks looming, the debate around subsidies and interventions lingers.

🗨️ 'So trade is one of the most technically complex areas of economic policy. What we've found in recent years is that there's been a drift away from the technical element of trade policy formulation and implementation. Needless to say, with certain administrations, that has been more pronounced than others, and it's become more ideological than practical.'

To all those building for Africa. Keep this at the forefront:
By 2050, Africa's population will double from 1.3 billion to approximately 2.5 billion, making it the fastest-growing population globally.
The continent will have the world's largest middle class, over 500 million people.
Nigeria will become the world's third most populous country, behind India and China.
Africa is the future! Let's build for the future!

How can global collaborations drive expansion and unlock new opportunities for Africa in global trade?
Yesterday, on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum @wef in Davos, Afreximbank President Prof. Benedict Oramah led a high-level delegation to a meeting with the Swiss Federal Council, State Secretariat, and State Councils at the House of Switzerland.
Switzerland, a key center of trade for Europe, offers immense opportunities for Africa to expand its economic reach and deepen trade ties. Discussions with leaders such as @DefrWbf Federal Councillor Guy Bernard Parmelin @ParmelinG@DBachmann_ge and State Secretary, Helene Budliger Artieda @SECO_StateSec centered on fostering economic collaboration, strengthening trade relations, and leveraging Switzerland’s strategic position to drive sustainable growth across both regions.
This partnership with Switzerland's SECO (Swiss Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Employment) is a critical step in creating new pathways for African businesses and economies to thrive on a global stage.
