I was just made aware of this today. First, I’m terribly sorry for the loss/theft people have suffered due to these shenanigans. As someone who lost over 150K in what was eventually shut down by the SEC- I feel that pain. But I was young and had time to recover. Many of you- don’t. Which makes it even more egregious.

Without spending a day on this and grateful for @annvandersteel breaking it all down in detail, it begs the question- WHO is the hold up for remedy? If it’s been passed up through the admin, WHO is holding it up?

These cases can take years to be sure. The fact that FINRA took lead over SEC is a bit curious, at best.

This behavior of using retailers to hedge those who stand to lose the least has been a major concern of mine in crypto markets as well.

We like to think the protections in place are for us, the investor, but this case makes a good example of a financial orgy.

To all of you who have lost in this, especially as servants of the country, I’m deeply sorry for your losses and the betrayal you’ve experienced- please do not make a permanent decision in a temporary situation.

God has a way of giving back what was stolen. In time.

There’s no shame in trusting what you thought would help your family in the way of an oppty. But be mindful moving forward, you all are prey for systems and institutions not set up with your protection as a priority. They use your service and those who served with you- against you. 🙏🇺🇸

Corruption/fraud in the stock market. Time for FINRA, the SEC, and the broker/dealer lobby (FIF) to be held to account for what they have done here. The MMTLP issue affects at least 65,000 investors, including veterans.
