My latest piece is ready to go! After a long month of hard work! Featuring a large blue crab and “Hilton Head 1663”. Completely carved by hand in solid poplar. Measures 26 by 28 inches. The new owners are out of town, so I get to enjoy it in my home for a while!
I’m just about finished carving my latest consignment! It’s big! 26 x 28 inches. That's about twice the square inches as usual! It's been a handful - it doesn't fit on my work bench. Next up is the painting. Then I need to build a frame.
My newest piece is a Roman numeral clock featuring a large cross! Hand crafted in solid poplar. This project was super challenging but so much fun! #clock#woodcarving#handmade
My latest piece is a 20 inch clock featuring a roseate spoonbill! This was a ton or work, but so much fun! Entirely carved by hand in solid poplar. #spoonbill#woodcarving
My current project is a large clock with a roseate spoonbill! All hand carved in poplar. The paint job is going to be a major undertaking! I could have it finished by the end of the week.

Just working on some more Christmas tree ornaments! Some repeats - some never before seen! I’ll have these strung up, and down to Pluff Mudd for tomorrow! #christmas
Just handed this off to it's new owner! A 16 inch tide clock featuring a blue heron and it’s reflection. The tip of the hand is supposed to look like a drifting feather! Hand carved in poplar.
I felt like carving something fun and colorful! Had no plan for the paint - just winged it! Hand carved in poplar - 7 x 12 inches. #woodcarving#Flowers
Just wrapped up carving this little rocking horse! It’s similar, but smaller, to one I carved earlier this year. Not sure if I’ll get it painted before vacation.
My “Five Colorful Buoys” carving is all painted up! Hand carved in pine - 11 x 13 inches. I normally don’t enjoy painting, and this one was extra fiddly, but I actually had fun painting it!
