#Econ_UMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta In chapter 20 we talk about the sticky wage theory and how the cost to change the price makes firms base their price off of the Expected price level. But today with much of are shopping being done online how valid is this theory now.
#Econ_UMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta so if large empires or countries are basically destined to grow indefinitely what are some major signs that one would stop growing or start shrinking.
#econUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta
but if they had the same GDP as the US currently their GDP per capita would be $14,957.14 compared to the US with $63,543.58. I see GDP per capita as a better way of showing living standards in a country.
#econUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta
Would it be better to measure GDP per capita? I've found myself thinking recently that it would be a better tell on the living standards in that country. take china, they are projected to overtake the US in overall GDP

@jasrajshallan#econUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta is taxation a good way to discourage people from buying a product. in this case, Canada is implementing some sort of carbon tax on natural gas that is used for heating people's homes. and with it being a necessity why would you discourage its use.
#EconUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta if much of the world is going into an economic recession what does this mean for the US when it comes to prices of basic good. Should we expect to see this for the coming years or is it not as bad as it appears.

#EconUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta How will the most recent hurricane affect the GDP of Florida and the US as a whole. I predict that it won’t have a crazy affect due to this happening every few years and we are use to the damage

#EconUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta Looking at how price of gas changes town to town is very interesting to me. Why is it still $4+ in some places but 3 something others. What makes it harder to get gas to these gas stations?
#EconUMD@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta one thing I have seen over the past few years of the pandemic was the rise and drop of the price of lumber. Lumber was up significantly compared to pre-pandemic and now. this being due to supply shortages
@LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta#EconUMD At my job I see prices rising every week. One day an item is $46.99 next week it’s $48.56. Prices are no longer stable, anything can flip on a dime.
@heimbergecon This inflation is really getting out of hand. Wages aren’t keeping up with the inflation. We need to stop the inflation or raise wages. At least my job has given me a few bonuses to help out. @LuiggiDonayre@econ_ta#EconUMD
