Brendan Gallagher on realizing his time with the Habs was coming to an end:
“You can kinda tell, there were glimpses. Near the end of the year, when you’re getting pulled out of the lineup. When there were big opportunities, it just seemed like they looked the other way. That’s a coach’s decision, that’s his job title. For me as a player, when your number is called to be ready, and it’s not called, it’s probably time to move on.”
Imma be honest, I don’t think the Canadiens should really do much this offseason considering the UFA class is shit and the trade market is going to be a seller market.
Just stay the course and don’t rush it.
Tough conference final for the Canadiens by any measure. But what a run by the youngest team to make the playoffs. Other front offices talk so highly about how Montreal is set up for the next decade with so many good contracts and a salary cap that’s going up big time. More in pipeline coming. Still some holes in that lineup, for sure. But Montreal is way ahead of schedule. Sky’s the limit.
Outstanding season
Brutal ending
Some harsh lessons learned these last few games by everyone
Some brilliant experiences to draw on in the future
Feel more confident than ever this team will win a Stanley Cup
It just isn’t their time yet

"Why not the Habs!
"Habs are contenders!"
And both hold true. Love every moment and it's just beginning. Great run.
One of the last three teams standing. On fumes in the Conference Final and ran into a better team, healthier and polished team.
Cup final: Vegas vs Carolina.
Expect a lengthy list of injuries to come out next week.

Heck of a ride for the Montreal Canadiens during the 2025-2026 season.
Big summer for this team to reach another level, but lots to be excited for when it comes to this young core.
Kudos to the Carolina Hurricanes, who have been utterly dominant this spring.
@CanadiensMTL Thank you for a memorable season, didn’t end the way we would’ve liked, but for the first time in a long time we have a good young team and much to look forward too
