Your prefrontal cortex is done forming at age 25.
The absolute BEST time to form good habits is right now.
Make it a goal, maintain all of these habits for the next 5 years:
- Ignoring pain. You longer feel tired, uncertain, sore, etc. You push through all of these boundaries with an extreme work ethic.
- Do boring tasks for long hours. Get your body & mind used to doing one boring, repetitive task for hours on end, because while the end goal is shiny, the process of getting from A to B is not.
- Give 110% in everything you do. Keep your head up & pay attention from beginning to end. Stay energetic all the way through difficult training. Watch for opportunities, see if you can spot mistakes. Even if it is with work that doesn't matter for your goals, because it's the thought process that allows you to let your work ethic slip that bleeds over into tasks that really matter to you.
After doing this for at least 5 years, it will be much easier to continue doing these things for the rest of your life.
I am still learning this.
No matter how many years of trying it takes.
Money will not be a concern for my future family.
I will have a record in a fighting sport.
& most importantly, I will fight for government transparency.
Honesty is the policy.
LET'S DO LIFE.
@Midnight_Sweaty Don't hope for "stuff to get cheaper".
Work to where money is not a concern.
If working for someone else doesn't pay enough, get into business.
@arikoyarii It's an interesting, perhaps rare position to be in.
Maybe increasingly common nowadays, from what I've seen online, I could be wrong.
Does it effect my work ethic? Who knows.
I don't have to agree with a man (or woman) to sit down & have a conversation.
I'm simply there to gain a well-rounded understanding.
Those types of talks are ever so important.
"Constantly negative" & "chronically fatigued" are both a choice.
I cannot become fatigued because I refuse to. I will still be smiling even in the worst situations.
I can't be broken when my focus is on following God.
a woman will NEVER truly love you if you have a job.
- no time
- no money
- no fun
- constantly negative
- chronically fatigued
- no curiousity
- no viritlity
- no humour
- routine dependent
- escapist habits
meanwhile someone who is unemployed with a mysterious source of income:
- always cheerful
- calm under pressure
- low stress
- no alarm clock
- "im bored. lets go to paris tonight"
- more talkative
- more animated
- more vibrant
- more eccentric
- exciting hobbies
- healthier
worst archetype of all time. energy vampires.
"im going to quit my job"
- "AND DO WHAT? HOW ARE YOU GONNA EAT?"
"i started an online store"
- "WHATS THE COSTS? HOW LONG BEFORE YOU'RE BROKE?"
"im going to hop on testosterone"
- "DOESNT THAT MAKE YOUR DICK STOP WORKING?"
usually happens when the person is surrounded by others who know as little as him about these topics,
but since he's the only one that speaks with brazen confidence,
they default into thinking he must know everything about it.
i knew a guy like this.
he's still in the same house,
playing the same video games,
watching the same tv shows,
as he was 10 years ago.
Give me all the stress, give me all the pain, for I am the rock for your waves to crash into.
So excited for today. Another day full of work/training to do.
I'm Gen Z.
I've gotten every job I've interviewed for.
I'm waiting on a relationship because I don't have money.
I'm renting while I work to build a business + a combat sports career in order to make money.
I'm smiling all the way through. Love this life.
Thatโs what happens when youโre constantly stressed because there are no jobs, finding love feels impossible, homeownership is out of reach, and the future looks hopeless.
