Unicef says more than half of all children in Ukraine have been displaced by war. Many seem very resilient, but they are living through horrors and upheaval that may affect their entire lives. @IrishTimes https://t.co/4jKrFvlL8Y
“Many people were saying this [invasion] would be completely irrational...but Putin is a psychopath," says Yevgeny Kiselyov. "In my opinion, he has already lost this war. He will remain in history as an international war criminal. This is now irreversible” https://t.co/7cdIh62ipd
“If the war comes to Lviv, I think we’ll just sleep in the hospital. And we’ll be ready to work all the time,” says Vitalii Averchuk, a heart surgeon in Lviv (like his son Dmytro). The war is sending patient numbers soaring and disrupting medical supplies https://t.co/8L9soLTwse
Young people in Lviv - and all over Ukraine - are stepping up to help people fleeing Putin's war and to fight the Russian invaders. The unity and solidarity of Ukrainians is one of many things about this country that Putin cannot comprehend @IrishTimes https://t.co/UCC7H2linZ

A dusting of snow overnight in Kyiv. Air raid sirens this morning but no major explosions in the city centre as far as I know. Horrible to see missiles hitting the middle of Kharkiv, a university city of 1.4 million which a week ago was living its normal, vibrant life.
