@MarathonDevTeam Ya think we could get friendly NPCs somewhere down the line? Like OG Marathons BOBs or MADD bots. One of my gripes with the story is the lack of humanity/stakes in the world since there’s nothing living to protect like civilians/marines from halo.Runners don’t have muchcharacter

@omegafreelancer Tbh this goes back to ODST and pretty much the one time I think staten ‘shit the bed’. By introducing engineers the brutes n prophets came off as both evil and now ‘dumb’ that had to steal tech rather than build their own. Idk I didn’t like it then or now

@oryxeleven @YourPalRags Sounds like Bungie did a blend of differ. myths until Staten (and Marty) joined the team and given how iconic Staten’s writing was it’s understandable ppl naturally associate Christian themes with not just halo but bungie works in retrospect now even though it’s technically wrong

@game_fabricator Gritty or not, I think Statens writing is largely irreplaceable. There needs to be a writer that understands and appreciate the military sci-fi world of halo but understands when to dial it back if it gets in the way of the narrative/drama. This is why I always felt ODST>Reach

@MarathonGG_ Honestly in general the priority needs to be maps , like new runners is cool and all but it’s not absolutely needed right now. New maps, new challenges, new (not boring) enemies are all sorely needed. New harder to find ammo type would be good for balancing for things like d54

@jonhtoofers The main problem : Joe staten, bungies only writer that seemed to understand the importance of character emotion got shifted to work on D1, while remaining writers comprised of military, sci fi nerds n Lee Wilson. Lehto’s decision to have 10 lvls n 6 characters was v bad

@chi_is_a_mess D54 also needs to be less common, kkv should prob use a different (maybe new, harder to find) ammo type for balancing . I remember firing a short burst on a mine with the kkv and it somehow didn’t explode, immediately told me everything I needed to know of that trashcan gun 😆

@MuItimach Playd thief the most n tbh I think she might be thé worst from a pvp perspective. Vandals passives alone out class the grapple, grapple has a loud n distinct sound effect that high lvl play know mid firefight so flanks are usually off Conditions for drone being useful are v high
