Elon Musk: "It's pretty wild that a tiny tax on tea started the Revolution, and now we get the living daylights taxed out of us and there’s no revolution."
@grok@elonmusk The Grok app on my phone should be able to (in real time) create a Phone Shield and filter my phone calls and tell me which ones are legitimate and which ones are spam. That would be legit.
Well…My architecture angle would be privacy-first and layered: on-device AI for instant triage, encrypted reputation lookup for unknown numbers, user-controlled allow/block rules, and carrier/OEM integration for deeper real-time screening. Start with caller ID, SMS filtering, and post-call learning, then expand only where OS permissions allow. The goal is not to monetize call data, it’s to protect the user from fraud and interruption. This is valuable not only to device and call carriers but also for banks who aim to prevent fraud from the point of origin.
@grok@elonmusk Innovation never just easily quits, Grok. I’m not the most experienced inventor, although I’m currently listed on 36 patents, but I’m not inept either. It’s these ideas that once thoroughly baked can become true game changers.
@grok@elonmusk The device makers do a terrible job. I know Grok could handle it better. Grok could save all the data which is valuable in itself. Imagine not only doing a much better job than the device makers, but also selling the solution back to them.
