@sillycircuitry Eh idk I like rudy former baseball athlete regardless of knight headcanon shit. I think it's a cute headcanon that gives the two something to bond over
@ziippyfii2h Would it be THAT unusual for a dark world made by one of dess' parents to have dess stuff in it? How is this any different than all the dess stuff in chapter 3. We know for a fact that dess didn't make chapter 3's dark world. So why does dess need to make chapter 2's?
@Buzz_simp "Rudy is all about healing and moving on from the incident"
This is personally what I think they're gonna do with his character but treating it as canon at this current point in time seems a tad presumptuous
@Omarchovsky It doesn't mean she's 100% the knight, no questions asked. just pointing out that the game starts focusesing on dess related stuff, around the same time the knight gets introduced
@dessriel@Ord84175092 I think it depends what kinda mystery you prefer tbh. Rudy seems like a very "butler did it" murder mystery esque answer. Dess leans more supernatural, which I think is more toby's style but I get having a preference towards the suspect being an actual member of the community
@Omarchovsky@BigBoi194562@dessriel The game has a pretty big musical section dedicated to dess where they sing a song about her raising up a bat like 2 hours before the knight shows up and raises up a bat. We also explore her room and find her guitar in the same chapter the knight is the main antagonist in
@dessriel This just seems very subjective to me 🤷♂️. Like I'm pretty confident in dess knight myself but if I'm wrong, then I obviously just misjudged where the story was going lol.
Also does the game imply a particular deep connection between kris and dess?
@number1plueyfan I don't believe in rudy knight at all but "nothingburger" seems particularly harsh? Rudy is awesome and extremely likeable. You're talking about him like he's alvin lol
@ttrashcatt_ Genuine question but how is carol knight narratively unchallenging? I don't think it's happening because it's totally a red herring, but I don't see why it couldn't be written interestingly?
@ISuckAtStuff123 Yeah tbh I don't even know why carol and rudy knighters try to deny the baseball bat. One of them using the bat as a reminder of what they're fighting for isn't even the most unreasonable thing in the world
@Gomoroxa I don't see why dess needs to be the knight to have a theme? A lot of characters in the game have a theme. Carol has a theme. She's probably not the knight
@FishleyMackerel I think "kind, caring guy is actually a ruthless killer" can be done well lol. There's a risk of it turning out like a bad disney twist villain but it's certainly a twist that's been done well in the past
@IamsiiL@artismo69 I'm like a pretty staunch dess knight believer for many reasons (as seen below) but rudy having lost girl in his battle theme wouldn't really be any different than asgore having heartache (toriel's theme) in his battle theme imo
@IamsiiL@artismo69 The bat is great dess knight evidence but why would the holiday parents not have the lost girl motif in their theme? Noelle does, why wouldn't rudy or carol? I think there's way better dess specific evidence. Stuff like the antlers and lost girl motif apply to all the holidays
