Everyone relax with the “act like you’ve been there before.” Emotion like this is a byproduct of competing at the highest level. I have no problem with him getting a welcome to the show with one to the ribs next AB, but then be prepared for him to swipe 2nd 😂
The Nationals had the umpires check Elly De La Cruz’s bat to make sure it was legal in the 2nd inning.
In the 5th, he hit a 455-foot bomb and told them to check again 😮💨

@MLBONFOX @masnNationals All about playing with that type of energy, but agree he’s only been here a couple weeks. What will be really telling about him as a player is how he deals with the inevitable failures. Not ready to call him a career .900 OPS guy just quite yet. Potential is there though.
@Metsmerized@DeeshaThosar And this is why @StevenACohen2 isn’t in a rush to make any changes in the dugout or FO. Fans need to understand this stuff matters and you can’t pull an Ari Gold every time the team starts to underperform.
@MetsAvenue Continue to build confidence. Now only given up 1 run in his last 10 innings despite another 3 walks in 4 innings this outing. Progress, but still not where the @Mets need him to be yet.
Doug Leone from Sequoia closed a panel yesterday evening I was in the audience for with a fitting quote for founders given state of markets and it’s spot on.
