To summarize - yes, some of the charged people (especially the severed people) have been found with drugs in their cells/in the courtroom .

The question is what does that have to do with a RICO if there’s no evidence of anything beyond possession?

Leah Abbasi, lawyer for Lil Rod, arguing against uncharged post-indictment conduct being used as intrinsic acts.

There is a lot of discussion regarding the state wanting to introduce “intrinsic acts” which are UNCHARGED acts that are admissible because they were done at the same time as the charged acts and “complete the story”

The state wants to use stuff like drugs being passed around in jail to show that the “YSL enterprise” is still going and argue it’s intrinsic because it’s part of the ongoing conspiracy.

The Judge has ruled out some of it because there’s 0 evidence attaching it to a YSL RICO conspiracy and it’s just an alleged YSL member in possession in drugs in jail, which doesn’t automatically further the conspiracy.

She has held her ruling for other acts though and is waiting for more case law to be provided by both sides.
