One of the biggest mistakes of my life was getting bearish when Bitcoin dropped from 60k to 30k in 2021 (50%) AND in the 2022 bear.
Each time I sold alts that if held would of made me crazy returns. 10s of millions fumbled.
No. I'm not saying it'll be okay. I AM saying is that crypto has a way of always coming back and surprising you.
Everything will look like hell. Everything will be bearish. All TA will point to "it's over".
Then 6 months later you will think you were INSANE for not buying or holding.
It might seem dark now, but people are forgetting how consistently crypto defies expectations and completely U-turns.
The odds crypto is done and it's over for "years" are extremely low. Hell even in the bear during 2022 people forget bitcoin and alts did 2-3-5xs as they started to slowly recover BEFORE our bull in 2024.
I watched a few friends throw millions at solana sub $20 and print 15x returns on a giant top 10 alt.
Do whatever you want. Just don't let yourself become overly pessimistic. It's easy to do and historically very stupid.
If I had just bought when I was feeling "pissy" with crypto in the past, my net worth would be double right now.
The best opportunities CONSISTENTLY are during times like these and it will only be obvious a year later.
Stay engaged. Stay retarded.
When I was dead broke I was stressed out of my mind, sick with a chronic disease, and most nights couldn’t sleep
I was deeply embarrassed about losing it all in 2022 and would pretend I was doing better than I was which made me feel guilty and ashamed
I would go for walks and daydream about the life I have now and how wonderful it would be if I could just catch a break, just hit that one trade that got me out of the hole
I would hit a $500 pnl on and feel more euphoric than I ever do now on orders of magnitude more money. I was trading like my life depended on it because it did
And yet when I look back, despite how desperate I felt in the moment, how hopeless it was at times, those are some of my fondest memories
Now I’ve arrived, or rather I did about a year ago. But after a year of living in this new reality, my life isn’t all that different
More comfortable, less stressful, but mostly the same
It’s cliche but it really is about the journey. I like many others who have reached some sort of a destination can confidently assure you that there’s not much here. In fact it’s quite desolate, often lonely
After taking a sabbatical earlier this year, it only took a couple months of doing nothing to be bored out of my mind, I knew it was time for my next chapter
I’ll share more on that soon. I’ll probably delete this tweet but was feeling nostalgic and wanted to share
Okay
I’m in a uber back home, radio comes on
“The crypto market crashed this weekend. If you have friends who trade please check in on them. If you need it here is a hotline to call for moral support”
LMAO LMAO LMAO
What kind of bottom is this
I don’t think this is HYPEs fault at all, I think it was just a craze that everyone got stuck in and all of these smaller PERP dexs ultimately pushed the snow ball down the mountain
