@danzington@NoirRVN@Mileage_impo Massimo Frascella designed the Concept C... he was also the head of Jaguar design until right before Type 00 was unveiled, before leaving to Audi and making the Concept C
@itskyleconner Is this new? Several of my Jags have has rubber isolated clips that look very similar to this for holding on door cards and other interior trim
@itskyleconner Maybe it's just me, but I'm failing to see what this does better than a Maverick, a vehicle from an established brand with a dealer network, while being no cheaper, and only having 2 doors.
Unless they have a massive fleet contract they haven't announced yet, I don't get this
@gordonjcp @TrussMe96@JoeLigo The US gallon is different from the UK gallon. 50 US is equivalent to 60 Imperial. Pretty much nothing in the US can touch that, especially since we don't get small diesels. Even a Mirage barely gets over 40
@tadasmanmk2@JoeLigo @gordonjcp It just tells the computer that you would prefer it to run in electric only power as long as it can. It's really only useful for driving around your neighborhood, through parking lots, etc. As soon as you give it too much throttle or load, it turns off
@GaytonaUSA@InsideEVs โNo, actually we donโt get any GM PHEV models in the United States," I told him. "Only a few GM Ultium-based EVs and theyโre not doing all that well."
What was Sundin's response to this out of curiosity?
@itskyleconner@evgonetwork I believe so. My local GMC/cadillac dealer got an ABB 150kW(?) unit installed back in 2019 and they never even turned it on... It's never been used once and it's been sitting for so long all the logos are peeling off
@agreco01yahooco@Thecarhoarder Not in the hybrid synergy drive (planetary power split) system, the High Voltage battery is necessary for vehicle operation. The Honda IMA system (much more primitive) would literally let you turn off the HV battery and it would operate like a normal car
@Thecarhoarder@tommyfication I mean... I'm 6'4" and I can't access cargo from the side of the bed on pretty much any full-size 4x4 truck made in the past decade. Especially the super tall ones like the Hummer EV
@itskyleconner Ahhhh I've been wanting one of these for ages to retro mod with modern batteries, level 2 charging, etc, but even without batteries they still haven't dipped down into the $500 "why not" price range
@AriannaChelsea1 @itskyleconner Federal government disperses the funds to states who then have to make the plan as for what to do with it. The feds set the *minimum* requirement for what states have to do (i.e. chargers have to have CCS), but states can add to it (i.e. requiring NACS in addition to CCS)
@sjones7986@itskyleconner Tesla/NACS-equipped vehicles can still charge on any J1772 Level 2's with a cheap adapter, or vice verse (it's why a TeslaTap works on Tesla destination chargers). If the industry is going NACS, may as well make Level 2 NACS as well
