From the Bleachers

Two guys from Jersey talking sports @Datt__Mavis and @StevenMacri Listen below:

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

New episode is here! We discussed the #WorldSeries. Is Kershaw’s performance in postseason hurting his place in history? Just how deep is this Red Sox lineup? Also a bunch of #NFL and #NBA talk all right here on From the Bleachers! #Dodgers #RedSox #MLB https://t.co/YvvLu4Oib3

Knicks fired Kristaps Porzingis’ favorite coach (Josh Longstaff) before benching and trading away his best friend in the NBA (Hernangomez) so they can play Kanter. But sure, the Knicks did everything in their power to make him happy.

[lindsey ok @lindseyyok]

I think the thing I’m most excited for tonight is Tony Romo

[FOX Sports @FOXSports]

Congratulations to Eagles DE Chris Long for winning the 2018 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award! #MoreThanAGame

[Frank Isola @TheFrankIsola]

By the way, Porzingis was skeptical about the direction of the franchise two years ago. That doesn’t make him a diva, that makes him pretty darn perceptive.

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@FTLslacker @Pinstripe_Blue So guys like Pete Rose, Mike Schmidt & Reggie Jackson weren’t good players because Kenney and Clarke were starting? That’s essentially what you are stating. Because those guys were in the bigs it takes away from everyone else’s talent. Solid comeback man..

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

Someone at my job compare Dave Kingman to Aaron Judge. Monster home run hitter but struck out a ton. Do #Mets or #Yankees fans agree? #MLB

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@Pinstripe_Blue @FTLslacker Austin is 27 years and doesn’t even have a full season under his belt.

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@FTLslacker @Pinstripe_Blue I’ve been around baseball my whole life. I know a good player. Just because we have different opinions doesn’t mean I can’t evaluate a player. People begin to insult others when they are wrong. So enjoy your day. Maybe find another sport to watch?

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@Pinstripe_Blue @FTLslacker Also comparing Randolph to Cano is not really fair. They are two different type of players. Randolph was a table setter. It’s not a fair argument. Plus, how long did Cano do PED’s for? We will never know

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@FTLslacker @Pinstripe_Blue Haha this conversation makes me laugh. Joey Gallo has a .203 career average but has hit 40+ home runs the past two seasons. Should he be in Japan too? Kingman wasn’t in the lineup to get on base. And managers would not dismiss a 6’6 guy with massive power after two seasons.

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@FTLslacker Kingman was a 3x All-Star and had 442 home runs. Tyler Austin is batting .232 and is barely a starter since he’s been called up.

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

@FTLslacker I didn’t agree with the Judge comparison but Kingman was a FAR better player than Austin

[SB Nation @SBNation]

"We want Kyrie" - Knicks fans at MSG👀

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

Bring in AD and sign KD. Keep Dennis Smith at pg and keep developing Knox. That will be a legit squad. Plus most likely having a lottery pick.

[Bleacher Report @BleacherReport]

Anthony Davis is “focused on the Lakers” as his top trade destination, while also listing the Knicks as a “preferred landing spot,” per @ShamsCharania

[Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter]

After 17 NFL season, Julius Peppers announced his retirement. He finishes fourth all time on the NFL’s sack list, behind Bruce Smith, Reggie White and Kevin Greene - all Hall of Famers.

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

Oh how things have changed

[Stefan Bondy @SbondyNBA]

Kyrie Irving has shifted from his commitment to re-signing with the Celtics: “I don’t owe anybody shit.”

[From the Bleachers @BleachersNJ]

The one thing that concerns me with Kyrie is he left Cleveland because he didn’t want to be the No. 2 option to Lebron anymore. If the Knicks go out and get KD it might keep them from getting Kyrie. Which at the end of the day isn’t the end of the world.
