@girlinthegrave3@Kotodamadane@bxieus I'm glad we agree it's disgusting, but again, I've lived many years and never seen this in my childhood or adulthood. There are things that are more acceptable in certain cultures that definitely are not in others.
@VPieciak4503@nceagle11@brentdsadler@krassenstein I'm not saying there was/wasn't fraud. But ppl are claiming fraud is evident by them not being let in. I work in daycares/pre-ks. None of them let random ppl in and most are very cautious about any kind of video taping. Her doing that isn't automatic guilt. It's normal practice.
@brentdsadler@krassenstein I work in many daycares and pre-ks. They are always locked. You always have to sign in. And if you will be returning regularly, you have to have your license on file (and a background check). They sometimes will give tours to prospective parents but those are monitored.
@mrsdobbins_ Don't forget that they should also forego using the restroom. You might be using it when your baby cries and he/she will cry for a couple minutes and have a lifetime of drug addiction and failed relationships. Just don't be weak and concentrate until it goes away.
@2wiceB@MikeBlueMarlin@TalksPolitics24@owroot I'm not sure what you're eluding to here. Plenty of people still don't put their kids in car seats despite it showing it saves lives. But you know, lol...vibes βπ»βπ»βπ»
@2wiceB@MikeBlueMarlin@TalksPolitics24@owroot I'm just saying. I didn't wear a helmet and rode my bike every single day as a kid. But even tho I was fine, a large chunk of kids ended up with TBIs. Enough that I felt it was prudent to make my kids wear helmets. Know better, do better.
@oliveegger For clarity, this is NOT how co-sleeping is generally defined. What you are describing is called "room sharing." Co-sleeping/bed sharing are synonymous.
@opendoorforever@HormoneHangover You are being obtuse. Clearly, she is referring to the fact that children have managed to live through worse without spiraling into severe mental illness.
@2wiceB@MikeBlueMarlin@TalksPolitics24@owroot Not driving your car is, in general, not possible. People have to get to work. Driving does have a lot of risk. But you need to have a place to live and food to eat. You don't have to co-sleep. Having the bassinet right next to you is essentially the same thing but much safer.
@2wiceB@MikeBlueMarlin@TalksPolitics24@owroot 60% of SIDS or SUID deaths are during co-sleeping. Impairment does increase risk but does not come close to explaining all co-sleeping deaths. Also, sleep deprivation mimics substance impairment. "It would never happen to us" are famous last words for a lot of childhood deaths.
@suzy_redd Yeah, I think both of them are stressed. His mom is also making a big move and relying on other ppl to help her which means she has no control. That can feel very scary to a lot of ppl. Your husband had a normal reaction. I think grace can be extended to both of them.
@theficouple Ok, you don't have to do any of that tho. Our wedding was $10,000. I went to an in-state public college with loans for grad school. I own a modest home. And I drive a 13 year old sedan. I'm not living an IG worthy life but I def am living well and not in any debt.
@kale_abe@aristotlegrowth Correct. My sister was talking to the principal at her kid's private school, lamenting how they were driving a 10 year old car and everyone else had a brand new luxury vehicle. The prin told her those same people never pay tuition. A lot of ppl live on illusion and massive debt.
@sandrabeth10@EFHutton123@owroot It isn't no shit. Y'all are comparing sleep training to abuse. It's obtuse at best and intentionally harmful at worst.
@nienna121 It doesn't mean it's the best practice if it was done historically. That is absolutely correct. But I do think it points to the fact that children are more resilient than people think. If they weren't, society would have collapsed long ago with all the trauma.
@jessejbtc @flabbytofit99 3rd world countries, eh? So many people on this app need to get off the Internet and go talk to real people. Those are absolutely things that happen in the 1st world and probably more commonly than you believe.
