From the moment we landed, we were accorded a ROYAL RED-CARPET RECEPTION, received through His Majesty’s PRIVATE airport terminal with full traditional and cultural honours, before being escorted under VVIP PROTOCOL from the airport tarmac to the Royal Palace !!! My lovely wife and I were then graciously hosted by HMK KING MSWATI III to a lavish dinner at His Majesty’s sacred Royal Palace. Such an honour is ordinarily reserved strictly for highly respected ROYAL GUESTS and HEADS OF STATE. Truly, A PROPHET IS NOT WITHOUT HONOUR EXCEPT IN HIS OWN COUNTRY…Mwari vanondida... During our discussions, I had the privilege of updating HMK on the excellent progress already achieved towards our MEGA SOLAR PROJECT. The exceptional professionalism and EFFICIENCY demonstrated by the various Government departments of the Kingdom of Eswatini was worth commending, as most approvals including the IPP GENERATION LICENCE, were processed in a RECORD BREAKING period of 48 HOURS !!! The efficiency on their service delivery has encouraged me to make the decision to find a cheap house for not more than 50 million rand to buy it TODAY so whenever I visit I have somewhere comfortable to relax. I further updated HMK that our business associates and technical teams are now finalising the GRID IMPACT ASSESSMENT, whilst simultaneously concluding the ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA), the Grid Connection and Interconnection Studies, the Geotechnical and Topographical Investigations, together with all remaining engineering and technical certification requirements necessary before commencement of construction. Following these encouraging developments, I was equally delighted to reassure HMK that INTRATREK HOLDINGS has taken the bold decision to SELF-FUND the FIRST PHASE of 50MW, entirely from our own balance sheet and internal resources. We are confident that this first phase of 10 MW can be delivered within a RECORD-BREAKING period of 6 - 8 MONTHS. Following extensive consultations with our international technical advisers, we also resolved that, whilst we remain highly appreciative of the outstanding work previously undertaken by various reputable Chinese partners in the region, including CHINT ELECTRIC CO., LTD , the principal OEMs for this project will predominantly be sourced strictly from the UNITED STATES and EUROPE and consequently we will not involve CHINT ELECTRIC as earlier suggested. E.D. MNANGAGWA this morning. During our brief discussions, His Excellency expressed his DEEPEST CONCERN over the plight of Zimbabwean citizens who remain STRANDED in the Republic of South Africa, particularly the MULTITUDES camped at the Zimbabwean Embassy. Being the FATHER to ALL Zimbabweans that he is irrespective of where they may be, President Mnangagwa spoke with DEEP EMPATHY and genuine compassion about the pain and HARDSHIP many of our fellow citizens are presently enduring. In that regard MAMBO MUNHUMUTAPA gave me EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS and ORDERED me to immediately donate US$1 MILLION towards facilitating the urgent repatriation of those Zimbabweans who are still unable to return home. Panotaura MAMBO 🦁🦁🦁 you don’t question…you ACT ACCORDINGLY !!! Given the HUGE amount required, I had to HUMBLY PLEAD with His Excellency to afford me at least 24 HOURS to try my best to mobilise the funds through every lawful means available to me, including engaging friends, BUSINESS ASSOCIATES, relatives and even BORROWING FROM commercial BANKS and financial institutions. I lived through what Zimbabwe was before November 2017, and I have lived through every single year since. So when I speak about President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and what his leadership has meant for this country I am not speaking as a praise singer paid to clap.I am speaking as a witness.A witness who built a business in this country. A witness who employed Zimbabweans in this country. A witness who went to prison in this country, came out, and still chose to invest in this country. A witness who has driven through the rural areas, landed in the small towns, visited the hospitals, walked the farms, and seen with his own eyes what has changed and what still needs to change.I am writing the longest, most honest, most unfiltered endorsement of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 CAB3 that you will ever read. Grab a chair. This will take a while. PART ONE: REMEMBER WHERE WE CAME FROM. Before we talk about where Zimbabwe is going, let us be brutally honest about where Zimbabwe was.I am talking about the Zimbabwe of 2015, 2016, 2017. The Zimbabwe of bond notes introduced in panic. The Zimbabwe of fuel queues stretching three kilometres. The Zimbabwe of a $100 billion dollar note that could not buy a loaf of bread. The Zimbabwe of cash shortages so severe that people slept outside banks to withdraw their own money in $20 limits. I am talking about the Zimbabwe where if you were seen to be succeeding if you drove a nice car, built a nice house, wore a decent watch questions were asked about you. Dangerous questions. Questions that led to visits from people you did not want visiting you.I am talking about the Zimbabwe where foreign investors would not even pick up the phone when a Zimbabwean number appeared on their screens. Where our passports were an embarrassment at every immigration desk on the continent. Where our professionals DOCTORS, ENGINEERS, TEACHERS, ACCOUNTANTS were leaving by the thousands every month because there was simply nothing to stay for. That was Zimbabwe before November 2017. DO NOT LET ANYONE REWRITE THAT HISTORY FOR YOU. The people now screaming loudest against CAB3 where were they then? What were they saying then? What were they building then? Most of them were either part of the system that created that suffering, or they were sitting in foreign capitals filing asylum claims while ordinary Zimbabweans bled. I STAYED. I BUILT. I EMPLOYED. I PRAYED. And I WAITED. PART TWO: NOVEMBER 2017 THE DAY ZIMBABWE EXHALED I remember Operation Restore Legacy like it was yesterday. I remember watching the tanks on the streets of Harare and thinking for the first time in a long time that something was actually shifting. Not the usual political noise. Not another press conference promising change. Something structural. Something seismic. When President Mnangagwa stood at State House and addressed the nation as the incoming leader of Zimbabwe, I sat in my home and I said one thing to the people around me: "THIS MAN IS GOING TO OPEN ZIMBABWE." They laughed. Some of them. The cynics always laugh first. But I had watched ED closely. I had studied his trajectory. I understood that here was a man who had spent decades navigating the most complex political terrain on the African continent. A man who had survived things that would have destroyed lesser individuals. A man who understood business, understood GEOPOLITICS, understood that Zimbabwe's salvation was not going to come from IDEOLOGY it was going to come from INVESTMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE, and INSTITUTIONAL REFORM. The cynics laughed in November 2017. By 2019 they had stopped laughing. I am talking about the Zimbabwe where if you were seen to be succeeding if you drove a nice car, built a nice house, wore a decent watch questions were asked about you. Dangerous questions. Questions that led to visits from people you did not want visiting you.I am talking about the Zimbabwe where foreign investors would not even pick up the phone when a Zimbabwean number appeared on their screens. Where our passports were an embarrassment at every immigration desk on the continent. Where our professionals DOCTORS, ENGINEERS, TEACHERS, ACCOUNTANTS were leaving by the thousands every month because there was simply nothing to stay for.
That was Zimbabwe before November 2017. DO NOT LET ANYONE REWRITE THAT HISTORY FOR YOU. The people now screaming loudest against CAB3 where were they then? What were they saying then? What were they building then? Most of them were either part of the system that created that suffering, or they were sitting in foreign capitals filing asylum claims while ordinary Zimbabweans bled.
I STAYED. I BUILT. I EMPLOYED. I PRAYED. And I WAITED.

PART TWO: NOVEMBER 2017 THE DAY ZIMBABWE EXHALED
I remember Operation Restore Legacy like it was yesterday.
I remember watching the tanks on the streets of Harare and thinking for the first time in a long time that something was actually shifting. Not the usual political noise. Not another press conference promising change. Something structural. Something seismic. When President Mnangagwa stood at State House and addressed the nation as the incoming leader of Zimbabwe, I sat in my home and I said one thing to the people around me:
"THIS MAN IS GOING TO OPEN ZIMBABWE."
They laughed. Some of them. The cynics always laugh first.
But I had watched ED closely. I had studied his trajectory. I understood that here was a man who had spent decades navigating the most complex political terrain on the African continent. A man who had survived things that would have destroyed lesser individuals. A man who understood business, understood GEOPOLITICS, understood that Zimbabwe's salvation was not going to come from IDEOLOGY it was going to come from INVESTMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE, and INSTITUTIONAL REFORM.
The cynics laughed in November 2017.
By 2019 they had stopped laughing.
