I feel like the reason they never stopped worshipping is that they see a new side of the glory of God everyday. There is a newness you experience daily when you are in tuned with God.
Sexual purity will become a norm again in our society.
Waiting till Marriage will become a norm again in our society.
F0rnication will become something strange and abnormal again in our society.
A generation that Know their God is rising!
I know people would take it the wrong way;
But I genuinely like drinking garri.
It’s not because I am broke or anything like that.
It’s actually very refreshing.

Last week, around this time, I preached in a taxi with 6 others present.
I'd gotten in, didn't have enough sleep, and there was gospel music playing, and most were singing along, God asked me to preach, I said ah, I haven't prepared anything, I am even tired to, this music is enough no?
And I tried to delay by looking for a viewpoint to anchor the short sermon on, I was frustrated, nothing was coming; so I just went for it.
I stutter when I cannot pace, and so preaching in a taxi is a miracle for me. I begin as I always do: I bring you good news from the great king, who holds all things even the minute details of our lives in delicate care.
Everyone stopped. In that minute, the driver reduced the volume, I thought "at least embarrass me, so I can shut up and mind my business"
I continued and thought through the cares of our lives and how they are not lost on God, and how God makes us want to love him by first loving us. Also, he gives us rest for our weary souls and our hustling is not lost on God, he wants to bless our hands, but he wants us to see his heart.
We prayed and that was it. I now commit everyone who listened to that word into his hands, and that the fruits are for God's harvest, I am merely a gardener.
When I came down from the taxi, I felt a little death to my shame, it was something I fought until I yielded, but ultimately, I know a God who fought his own death, but for me; the joy set before him, he endured the cross.
I can endure the little deaths to my ego and pride, if it imperfectly mimics the big death of Jesus Christ on the cross for me.
I dated a girl for a year. Wanted to marry her, but had some doubts. Prayed, and God told me, "You can marry her and you'll have an okay level of happiness, but you'll be much happier with someone else."
Took me a while, but I decided on the "much happier with someone else." so we broke up.
She started dating my roomie 3 weeks later (oof). I moved out 2 weeks later. They got married not too long after that.
Spent the next 4 years dating various girls, and nothing really clicked.
Met my wife. Started dating her, and was never happier. Was getting ready for the day one morning, the sun was shining in through a window, and I was just thinking about how happy I was with her. Voice of God came to me again saying, "This is who you'd be much happier with."
Told her the next day I wanted to marry her, and she didn't have to say it back or anything, but that's what I wanted and I wanted her to know.
She decided a few days later she wanted to marry me as well.
6 years and 3 kids later, best thing ever. Incredibly happy with her. Glad I made the decision to trust God. The most important decision of my life, and I freaking nailed it with God's help.
The other girl? Well, her mom ruined one marriage by cheating on her dad, then married the guy she cheated on him with. That *shockingly* also ended up in divorce. Then she became a lesbian. That would've been the grandma to my children. Woof!
Other girl and my former roomie are still married. No kids. Left God behind and do their own thing.
Moral of the story: Trust God, always. Be very careful who you marry. Remember that you marry the family.
It was my first time listening to Minister David Nkennor yesterday, at Upperroom Lagos.
Had to look him up, found a couple of his ministrations on YouTube/Spotify, and I’ve been binge-streaming.
What a stream, what a grace!
So in love with how Christ-centered his worship is.
Before I proposed to my wife, I already visited her parents.
Told her I wanted to have an unofficial visit with the family, just to get to know them.
Booked tickets, and went to Lagos, they gave me a warm reception, I had very good swallow with egusi soup..
Signalled my mother inlaw to keep her daughter busy (MIL already knew my plan was to talk to the dad).
Spoke with the man, and he said why not? The name Berry has been ringing bells for a while now, and they’ll be happy to have me married to their daughter.🤓
Got back on the plane, bought a diamond ring, took her to the cinema, put a movie on hold they started playing our videos, then I popped the question 😅
The rest is history
