I had two # 10 cans of black olives I'd gotten for cheap. I opened one yesterday to cook with.. now I have one and I'm water bathing the rest in jars on hand

Preparing to make more "hot pockets" (hubs calls them that) for the week. I'm totally taking advantage of the cooler weather to make some and keep my weight loss going.
I do things like buy 2.84L cans of olives on sale. It's very "rebel canning" but I break them down into jelly jars and water bath can them so I can use when needed and the math works out to be way cheaper than a reg can at the grocery store
How I afford to eat while making sure my autistic daughter has her "safe foods" as a low income family.
I use @Flashfoodinc to get the ingredients for cheap and pressure can meals in jars or plain ingredients in jars.

I know, it doesn't look very good atm. But I got a sick kid and we still need to eat even in this heat. I don't want to heat up the kitchen, so burrito in a jar into the slowcooker on high to reheat, a salad kit and nachos..sour cream and cheese ... taco salad it is

It took two of us (myself and friend) and a hammer but after a lot of cussing and frustration we got the damn busted doorknob off and replaced.
Never get in the way of an angry newfie woman with a hammer.. shit got DONE!
Today's @Flashfoodinc haul. 4 lovely salads (great for summer in the heat and I'm down a total of 12lbs now) some snap peas for snacking and I'm a suckered for garlic bread. Also, just picked up 10lbs of breakfast sausages
