Today’s horror for October anime rec is GeGeGe no Kitaro. Like I said yesterday, I put scene’s from Hakaba Kitaro and Kitaro Tanjou to have an accurate day of Kitaro’s birth.

In 2008, they explored Kitaro’s day of birth in Hakaba Kitaro, but unfortunately it wasn’t 100% manga accurate. Kitaro Tanjou: GeGeGe no Nazo fixed that, but some of the events were displayed in manga form. So I want to do an edit combining Hakaba Kitaro and Kitaro Tanjou to get a full manga accurate depiction in anime for of Kitaro’s birth.

Happy to see GeGeGe no Kitaro on here at the beginning most likely due to its 1969 anime and its return in 1971. And then came back for the 195 anime. Sadly, it never got popular enough for the 1996, 2007, or 2018 anime to make a comeback, but I still enjoy the franchise a lot!

@RareTypeDT @NBinted What’s sad is Japan was excited to have Logan Paul for a boxing match, just for him to turn around and be disruptive and disrespectful. And the fact they chose a generational Japanese cult classic like GeGeGe no Kitaro to meme him. Yeah, they were not happy.
