That brings an end to Tehren’s freshman season. He finished with a 48-4 record. His career record sits at 113-28. He earned his first Section 2 Class CC title and improved on last years 4th place finish in Section 2 Division 2 with a silver medal. Great job on an amazing run.

#18 Tehren West battles but comes up short against Noah Bloom (Miller Place - 11). An early scramble didn’t go his way and he trailed 6-0 after the 1st period. 3-2 match the rest of the way until a desperation lat drop didn’t quite work. Final score: 12-2.

#18 Tehren West drops his Round of 16 match to #2 Mason Tanner (Jordan-Eldridge - 3). He’ll drop back and face Noah Bloom (Miller Place - 11) in the consolations.

A bracket adjustment right before the tournament started changed the matchup… #18 Tehren West opens with #15 Kenji Clark (Rye County Day - AIS). Trailing 8-2 in the 3rd period, Tehren gets a reversal to his back and finishes for a WBF at the 5:07 mark. On to the Round of 16!

#5 Alianna Lyon finishes with her hand raised… she wins by fall over Natalia Quinteros Tejada (FDR-Hyde Park - 5) in her final high school match. She finishes 5th in New York and achieves the highest podium finish in the history of our Red Warrior program.

#5 Alianna Lyon falls to #3 Olivia Anello (Bellport - 11). She’ll get one more match with a shot at 5th place. Her opponent will be #16 Natalia Quinteros Tejada (FDR-Hyde Park - 5)… a rematch of the quarterfinals at ESC.

#5 Alianna Lyon does it! She wins a back and forth battle against #8 Mackenzie Miesch (Brockport - 5) and finishes with a pin at the 5:25 mark. That earns her a spot on the podium and avenges her blood round loss from last year. She’ll face #3 Olivia Anello (Bellport - 11) next.
