We’re thrilled to announce the Black Portraiture[s] Conference is coming to the west coast this fall 2026. This year's conference theme is “Los Angeles: The Black Built Environment” which takes place in-person & virtually Monday, September 28 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The conference will present and encourage research and scholarship on modern and contemporary visual and structural approaches, centering the audacity of Black built environments from within the diaspora’s global influence and iterations.
