People overthink parenting.
If you can give your kids unconditional love and not pass on too much of your own trauma, you are way ahead of the game.
Trust the universe.

"You know", he said, "I'm attracted to you because of the programming in the brain that I used to think of as mine. It's all just machinery, evolved over eons and.........."
She when leaned over and kissed him,
he forgot what he was saying.

IS LIBERATION LIKE TAKING HALLUCINOGENS? CAN THEY HELP ME SEE THIS?

"I don't have an opinion on hallucinogens.
They are what seems to be happening,
but neither them
nor their apparent effects
mean something."

---Andreas Müller, from the book, "Freedom for No One"
____

"If you want exciting phenomena, take LSD.
There’s nothing you can do about liberation anyway
but it’s really uninteresting
compared to taking hallucinogenic drugs.
On an acid trip everything changes.
In liberation nothing changes.
It’s just seen that there’s no one doing it."

---Richard Sylvester, from his book "I Hope You Die Soon: Words on Non-Duality"
____

"Drugs, breathwork, meditation and other things can alter your state of consciousness,
but self-realization—truth-realization—
isn’t a state of consciousness.
If anything, it is consciousness without statehood.”

---Jed McKenna, from his book "Spiritual Enlightenment: The Damnedest Thing"
____

"Any experience can appear and be interpreted as meaningful. MMDA, DMT, other drugs may induce an experience of what is called oneness or unconditional love.
This is not about a person having an experience or a realization. What happens, sometimes erroneously called enlightenment or liberation, is uncaused and may possibly happen after taking LSD or DMT or MMDA. Or may happen after taking a train, drinking a beer, watching a football match.
And nothing happens. There is simply no belief in separation and a person to know or not know. It cannot be caused or induced as it is not an experience or a state, and there is no one who attains or realizes this. It is this already."

---Sarah Payne, answering a question about drug-induced liberation

I recently went through an unexpected and painful breakup and it still reverberates through me.
So when people do their polite thing of asking "how are your?", i might share with them a particular emotion felt at the moment - sorrow, despair, helplessness, sadness, anger etc. (and other moments are full of peace, joy etc).
Fascinatingly, most people then try to tell me that "you shouldn't be feeling sad" and proceed to tell me a complex story why.
Well, our emotions don't care about our stories.
there's absolutely nothing wrong with any emotion.
suffering is an attempt to tense up and deny reality of what is - it is typically reflected with some blame, an explanation or idea of imaginary control like "I should let it go".
So human!
So silly!
Reality doesn't care. it's here already. Of course, with all those thoughts too!
isn't that free and absolutely loving??
