Today we're open-sourcing how we integrated $DGB & DigiDollar payments at https://t.co/4Dj4Qqa0MX 🎉
A full toolkit: library, guides, node + wallet setup & a live demo. Anyone can accept DD & DGB non-custodially.🚀
We accept DigiDollar starting today!💵

Crypto is full of words nobody explains. Validator. Full node. Hash rate. Consensus.
Our dictionary breaks them down in plain English, plus our own tags like D100: the 100 most decentralized coins, led by $BTC 98, digibyte:native 96 and litecoin:native 96.

Bitget asked THORChain to refuse swaps from wallets tied to its Sept. 24 hack. THORChain said no. Its emergency halt can stop the whole network, but it cannot freeze one address.
$RUNE just drew the line: a network that can blacklist a thief can blacklist anyone.
A THORChain network halt is an emergency security mechanism designed to protect the protocol.
A halt is not a selective freeze of specific funds or an individual swap.
During the May 2026 exploit that resulted in $10.7M stolen from the liquidity pools, the attackers addresses were never blacklisted and therefore never prevented from swapping on THORChain.
THORChain is permissionless and doesn't censor by design. It's a neutral public good/tool as described by @mperklin in the post below.
Today's top ten movers on our trending page all score under 50 on decentralization. hedera-hashgraph:native is 42. $QNT is 29.
Meanwhile $BTC sits at 98, digibyte:native and litecoin:native at 96.
What's trending and what's decentralized are rarely the same list: https://t.co/ADQ6ZXJNXD
If your favorite blockchain has a help desk that can reverse your transaction, it's not decentralized. Somebody holds the master key, and it isn't you.
$BTC, digibyte:native and litecoin:native have no one to call. That's the point.

Decentraland's DAO is voting on a response after over 1,000 Decentraland Names were stolen from users. The proposal seeks an investigation and a temporary freeze of Names contract activity. Voting ends Oct. 1.
ethereum:0x0f5d2fb29fb7d3cfee444a200298f468908cc942 precedent: if a vote can freeze it, a vote controls it.
We looked at the top 500 cryptos by market cap.
Only 26 let everyday users run a full node.
39 have frozen user funds.
The average decentralization score is 39.7 out of 100.
$BTC scores 98. digibyte:native and litecoin:native score 96. They are the exception, not the rule: https://t.co/CbZN8oRmpR
The Clearing House, owned by the biggest U.S. banks, just picked Quant to power its On Chain Money Initiative. Goal: tokenized bank deposits that move between banks on chain, live in the first half of 2027.
Useful plumbing. But if only banks can join, it's still a bank ledger.
Bitcoin has no CEO, no company and no board. It still doesn't get a perfect score from us.
$BTC scores 98 on decentralization. Full marks on nodes, launch and age, but it drops 5 points on governance. digibyte:native and litecoin:native sit at 96.

If your favorite blockchain has insiders on an unlock schedule quietly dumping on you every month, it's not decentralized. It's an exit plan with a token.
$BTC, digibyte:native and litecoin:native had no VC round to pay back.

Bitget now puts its hack losses at $387.5 million, up from $351.6 million. Withdrawals reopen in stages from tomorrow, starting with $BTC.
Four days frozen is the reminder: coins on an exchange are an IOU. Decentralization means nothing if you don't hold the keys.
Proof of work or proof of stake? Our categories page groups crypto by how each network reaches consensus, then ranks every group by decentralization.
The proof of work group is led by $BTC 98, digibyte:native 96 and litecoin:native 96.

Solana's Alpenglow upgrade is live on devnet and testnet. It targets 150ms finality, down from 12.8 seconds, as validators swap votes directly instead of writing them into blocks.
Side effect: $SOL transaction counts will fall even if usage doesn't. No mainnet date yet.
Market cap tells you how much money sits in a coin. It tells you nothing about who controls it.
Our valuation page puts both side by side. $BTC scores 98 on decentralization, digibyte:native and litecoin:native 96. Plenty of bigger chains score far lower.

If your favorite blockchain has a Terms of Service and a team that can ban you for breaking it, it's not decentralized. It's a website, and you're the product.
$BTC, digibyte:native and litecoin:native never made anyone click I agree.

Researchers just published Shielded Bitcoin, a Zcash style design that hides amounts, senders and recipients with no change to Bitcoin's rules.
The catch: nodes would store the data but check nothing. Separate software does the verifying. That's a new trust layer.
People still call $DOGE a joke coin. Our data disagrees. It scores 93.5 on decentralization, higher than most chains with big teams and bigger promises.
No CEO calling the shots. Merge mined with litecoin:native by miners all over the world.

SEC staff just issued new crypto FAQs. One answer stands out: whether a project has "achieved decentralization" is judged by how the issuer defined it, not by any market standard.
So projects grade their own homework. We grade every chain the same way: https://t.co/7F0KRFDcTo
How does digibyte:native earn a 96 decentralization score? We split every coin into five parts.

Age and history: 15 of 15
Autonomy: 5 of 5
No black box. See the full breakdown: https://t.co/WEOxZpTk8V
If your favorite blockchain needs a license and a regulator's blessing just to keep making blocks, it's not decentralized. It's a franchise with a token.
$BTC 98, digibyte:native 96, litecoin:native 96 never asked anyone for permission.

Bitget lost about $351.6 million from its hot and warm wallets Thursday and froze withdrawals. It says attackers hijacked a wallet backend and fed spoofed transfers into its signing system. It suspects North Korea.
