You figured out Bitcoin years before the people who work for you.

You still cannot tell them to buy it.

Soon you will not have to.

Be the Reason.

Meat prices since 2005, in local currency:

China +130%
Canada +130%
United States +129%
Euro area +72%

Three different economies, three different paths, same destination.

Then there's the franc.

We enrolled a company with 30 employees for a Bitcoin Savings Plan this morning and I got to do the employee meeting myself.

This is one of the unique things about @Block_Rewards. There are other ways to buy bitcoin through payroll but we support the employer in the process.

How a Bitcoin Savings Plan works. The employee chooses an amount. Payroll deducts it after tax. Bitcoin is bought and held in an account in the employee's name. One deduction line. No salary in Bitcoin. No employer recommendation.

A Canadian truck driver needed 4.7 years of pay for an average home in 1990, 12.3 today.

The honest version, with mortgage rates priced in (13.3% then, 4.87% now):

1990: 50% of gross pay
2025: 68%
Lenders cap it at 39%. In 1990 it qualified. Today it doesn't.

Why Bitcoin enters the savings conversation: fixed supply, divisible, portable, globally traded, individually owned. Why it's hard: 40% volatility and a 53% drawdown from Oct 2025 to Jun 2026. Medium-term money, after an emergency fund.

Same company. Same plan. Different default. Opt-in enrollment: 37% participation. Automatic enrollment: 86%. Payroll already shapes how people save. The open question is whether it should also shape what they save in.

Real wages rose 2.8% in the US and 5.1% in Canada since 2019. Cash savings didn't keep up: even rolling one-year Treasuries or GICs every year lost about 8% of purchasing power. Cash only. Inflation-linked bonds and diversified funds exist for this.

Pay is stated in dollars. Life is paid for in purchasing power. Since Aug 2019, gasoline is up 54% in the US and 48% in Canada. Rent: 35% and 34%. All items: +30.6% US, +24.1% Canada. Sources in the report. Link Below.

Most people curious about Bitcoin never buy any. The barrier is friction: which exchange, which wallet, how much, when. A workplace plan removes all of it. Pick an amount once and every paycheque does the rest. For a lot of employees, that's the first Bitcoin they'll ever own.

Saving in Bitcoin safely transfers your purchasing power earned today, into the future for you to consume when you need it.

Seven things every benefits leader should know about workplace saving. 1. Pay kept up. Cash didn't. 2. Defaults beat intentions: 37% to 86%. 3. Saving rates: 4.1% US, 3.7% Canada. 4. Bitcoin's case is scarcity and ownership, not price. All seven in the report- link below.
