I wanted to wait until tomorrow to address this, but my conscience would not let me stay silent any longer.

As someone who knows what it feels like to be lied against, misunderstood, and judged unfairly, I can honestly imagine the emotional weight VDM must be carrying right now. No matter our opinions or differences, one thing we must never forget is that he is a human being with emotions.

The more I remained quiet, the more people will misunderstood my previous tweet and the intentions behind it.

I want to sincerely take full responsibility for the way I communicated my thoughts. I should have expressed myself better and in a clearer manner to avoid confusion and misinterpretation.

For everyone who felt I was against VDM, hated him, or was working with the establishment (APC) to bring him down, I deeply apologize.

To VDM, Nwanne, I am truly sorry. You did not deserve to be misunderstood because of my poor choice of words. I should have reconstructed that tweet better so it would not create the wrong impression.

I genuinely respect the courage, consistency, and sacrifices you have made speaking up for ordinary Nigerians. Whether people agree with you or not, nobody can deny that you have used your voice to fight for accountability and justice in this country.

At the end of the day, all of us want the same thing; a better Nigeria. A country where the son or daughter of nobody can become somebody without knowing anyone.
