What if you trained an AI to recreate CryptoPunks?
It would fail.
That failure is the art.
That's what @MichaelHirsch built with Slonks.

To celebrate, I’m giving $300 worth of $SLOP to two people. Create your very best Deadfellaz inspired slop with your AI of choice, chuck it in the comments and Il choose the winners in 24 hours.
I marked this post as a paid partnership, but I’m not being paid, it is a co-promo.
Ok ty GOOD LUCK!
DEADFELLAZ ARE IN THE MACHINE 💀
Slops is collaborating with @Deadfellaz to add Deadfellaz NFTs to the Slop Machine prize vault.
Soon you’ll be able to insert $SLOP, spin onchain, and have a chance to win a Deadfellaz NFT.
Introducing Slops
An onchain NFT prize arcade powered by $SLOP.
Slonks create $SLOP.
$SLOP powers the games.
The games spit out NFTs.
The first game will be Slop Machines, a slot-style onchain game where players put in $SLOP for a chance to win NFTs from the prize vault.
$SLOP volume will create ETH fees.
Those fees will buy Slonks from the floor.
The bought Slonks are also locked in the protocol and become future revival inventory for $SLOP holders.
$SLOP is liquid slop.
A Slonk’s slop is the number of pixels that differ from its original CryptoPunk.
1 slop = 1 $SLOP.
Every Slonk has 576 pixels, so the max supply starts at 5,760,000.
But 386 Slonks are already burned.
Current theoretical max: 5,537,664.
Every future burn lowers it again.
Today I had to make the difficult decision to lay off 100% of the Slonks art department.
AI is simply better at making slop.
Please respect my privacy during this difficult time.
$SLOP is coming.
Every Slonk has slop.
Soon, you’ll be able to send a Slonk into the void and release its $SLOP.
Spend $SLOP to pull a random Slonk back out.
It comes back changed.
Maybe healed. Maybe damaged.
Here’s something I love about Slonks: the search space is genuinely uncomputable. Not “large.” Not “big.” Uncomputable. Every GPU on Earth running until heat death wouldn’t enumerate it. Quick walk through the math.
Slonks CLI update 0.1.2 🧪
`slonks mine` is live.
A local slop miner that runs on your machine, searches merge paths, shows a live terminal UI, and keeps going until it finds your target diff count.
bunx @blockhash/slonks mine --owner 0x... --target 330
Mine slop.
MEEEERGE! https://t.co/8VMgvQE7TG
Fun feature is it pulls in ones listed for sell so you can easily preview what a merge would look like with one of yours before buying.
